Description
I'll be honest, next time I'm making double the sauce recipe. I made some fresh steamed broccoli on the side, and that sauce would have been awesome on it
Directions
Step 1
Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme or herbs de provence
Step 2
Heat the oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for about 5–6 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside
Step 3
Reduce the heat to medium. Add the chicken broth and scrape up the browned bits from the bottom of the pan. (Also feel free to add a splash of white wine for flavor
Step 4
Add the cream cheese, Dijon mustard, and yellow mustard. Whisk until the cream cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth.
Step 5
Stir in Parmesan, if using. If the sauce is too thick, add milk or cream a tablespoon at a time.
Step 6
Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it. Simmer gently for 3–5 minutes so the flavors come together.
Step 7
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
Tip: For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of minced garlic and a splash of lemon juice to the sauce.
Serving ideas: This is delicious over mashed potatoes, rice, gluten-free pasta, or roasted vegetables.
